International Group Exhibition

In the international group exhibition that we will organize as Maltepe University Faculty of Communication Visual Communication Design Department, we wish to explore our changing lives under the influence of technology, the boundaries between natural and artificial, the difficulties faced by human beings in the modern world and the radical change experienced through the concept of synthetic.

The exhibition, which will be held online at the Department of Visual Communication Design, Çizgitsin Digital Gallery, is open to painting, sculpture, graphics, ceramics, photography, video, stop- motion, animation, anime, digital art and other art and design fields that can be integrated into digital art. However, the works should not be interactive and should not feature physical installations.

Emel Güray’s Artworks Selected By IFAPC Committee

Emel Güray's 7th solo exhibition "Abstract Reflections II", which took place online between February 2-12, 2023, was selected by the selection committee within the scope of International Fine Arts and Printing Confererence Dubai.

About her digital artworks, Güray says: "Everyday images that try to find a place in our minds as memories exist with the reflections they leave on each other when we try to remember them".

She graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts in Painting Department, in 2008. She completed her master's degree at Marmara University Institute of Fine Arts in Painting Department, in 2011. She completed her Proficiency in Art training at Kocaeli University Institute of Social Sciences in Plastic Arts Program, in 2017. She continues to work as an Assoc.Prof.Dr. at Kocaeli University, Faculty of Fine Arts, in Department of Basic Education. She has artistic works on Glass Painting, Material Painting and Digital Photo Collage.

"AFLOAT" AN EPISODIC EXHIBITION

Tuğçe Arıöz's artworks have been selected among the applications sent in the open call made in memory of April 15 World Art Day.

The artist, who graduated from Hacettepe University Department of Art History in 2011, prioritized oil painting, digital collage, manipulation and digital videoart among her expression styles. She has integrated technology and fast production tools into her practice. Today, by incorporating artificial intelligence into her art in a unique way, she continues to develop the language of her multidisciplinary art with the "mix-art" she created as a result. Instead of going through the ordinary, she depicts the senses and emotional concepts and extracts pieces of truth from it one by one. She gives identity and personality to the concepts she embodies through her instantaneous feelings. She continues her unlimited work by keeping it a "secret", nourished by both her spiritual and magical practice on the unconscious, as well as her visions, inspirations and dreams. Especially for the last 5 years, she has focused solely on her own artistic path and continued her work to develop and advance the digital art dynamic. Some of her works and digital video collages are recorded in the Dr.Gökhan Gündoğdu Museum. She has participated in group exhibitions at Taksim Art Gallery, Evin Art Gallery, ArtIstanbul Feshane and 42 Maslak Gallery.

GESAM

GESAM is a Professional Union established in Turkey in the field of fine arts. GESAM protects the rights and interests of the artists in respect of "violation of rights" occured in the existing copyrights pertaining to plastic arts.

Protecting the copyrights of members, GESAM also organizes international art shows, exhibitions, symposiums, conferences, workshops and biennales, publishes monthly journals and prepares books introducing the artists and films.

As GESAM assumes the responsibility to act as a branch of Directorate General of Copyrights of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and advises any matters relating to copyright to its members, your membership will facilitate government procedures.

Ebru Dede's 7th Solo Exhibition

When we see “subconscious” as a theme of a group of the artworks, we remember Surrealism, which interprets the subconscious, and Expressionism, which reflects the mood of the artist, among the art movements of the twentieth century. Since 1965 conceptual art has developed againts them, produced entirely by thought and based on a certain idea, rather than emotions. Although today's art is based on conceptual art, it has evolved with the pluralistic structure of postmodernism.

“I cannot fully reconcile with myself one of the Western art movements, as they have certain limits and are out of day. My journey of producing works is a little more complicated. Anyway, creativity in art requires a process, and many internal and external factors affect our works in this process.”

What is Epiveron?

Epiveron is a sort of passport, as circulation pass of the artwork, launched by AIAP/IAA. It is the document that will certify its security, whenever a work of art is changing its location within a country or internationally, for good or for a limited time only. It is an enterprise that aims to give certainty, transparence and trustworthiness to the artwork with its clear defining since its first release to the market, avoiding doubts on whether the art work in question is a fake or has been stolen, making it clear about who is responsible of the artwork when it’s traveling and when will it be returned, making it also known whether the sales rights and the copyright of the work belong to different people or not. Thus we can also say that Epiveron is the full complementary to the Certificate of Authenticity, before and after the sale.
